Alert-Tech Difference

Alert-Tech is aware of public concerns regarding the perceived complexity of security systems. Chief among their concerns are fears of false alarms and failure to understand, control or use the system. Addressing these concerns have led to what we call our best practices that make us stand out from other alarm companies.

Alert-Tech’s Anti-Induction Structured Wiring:

This method of wiring our systems in pre-wires and in retrofit installations avoids the induction field present in the 110 and 220 volts household wiring. This induction field can interfere with the stable flow of direct current to the sensitive alarm detectors and sensors and cause erratic operation, even damage the sensors. Worse, lightning and other surges send violent spikes from high voltage household wiring to the sensors, damaging and causing false activations.

In our technique, all wires are pulled from the panel to the sensors through the attic. While sensors remain downstairs, the technician hammers drive rings in a logical path across the attic roof rafters and above the location of the sensor wires. The wires are then lifted and hung onto the drive rings so that they fall straight at a right angle to the household wiring, to the ceiling below where the sensors are being installed. The wires are then cut from below and the sensors are installed. The result is an orderly looking installation, free of surge-related false alarms.

Alert-Tech’s Exclusive End User “QuickCards”:

These FREE instructional cards are designed in our own art department and feature all essential instructions for arming and disarming the system, bypassing zones, setting the chime, etc. Instead of looking up a particular function of the system in the index of the owner’s manual and then turning to the page for instructions, it is all on the “QuickCard.”

Customer feedback has been great, and more and more are asking for the cards. We have designed cards for each type of system we have out there, including apartment alarms.
